This inspiration for this post came from author Victoria Schwab’s blog post, wrapping up her year in reading. I was curious what my stats would be so I decided to look into it! This post is based off of Victoria’s Schwab reading review.
In 2016 my goal was to read 60 books. I read 64.
Of those 64 books, 9 were written by men, 55 were written by women, and 12 of them were new releases.
Of all the 64 books I read, my top 16 were:
Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas (2012)
This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab (2016)
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare (2013)
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas (2016)
Empire of Storms by Sarah J Maas (2016)
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon (1991)
My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand (2016)
The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh (2015)
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (2015)
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir (2015)
The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J Maas (2014)
Cinder by Marissa Meyer (2012)
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo (2012)
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater (2012)
P.S. I Like You by Kasie West (2016)
In 2017 I hope to read:
The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon (2001)
Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake (2016)
Heartless by Marissa Meyer (2016)
In 2017, my goal is to read 80 books.
